This watercolor is called “storm coming.” Still seems to me to evoke the coming of fall.

I love it Martha. We are in the ’50’s in Kentucky now, and soon will be getting cold. The trees are starting to turn colors and lose their leaves, and it looks like a short Autumn for us. Cold winter is predicted, but what do they know?

true, but here upstate, ny is getting some lively colors. I painted a huge red flower in watercolor yesterday, will post.

Wonderful painting. I agree that it captures fall — of the way fall makes me feel. Looking out at my lightly leaf-littered lawn and fading flowers, I thought how much I like the disheveled, shaggy look of my September yard.
